Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
After a few hours of peaceful rest, Ayn awakens, and props herself up using her elbows. She spends a moment to contemplate a dream she had.. She had been visited by a moogle, who gave her a potion of some sort and spoke to her.. She glances to the nightstand, where the moogle had left the vial... And is shocked to find it there.

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
In front of Hayate, a shimmering map has flickered into existance and he's looking at it carefully
Show be something useful won't you, for once? The images shifts slightly to a house with a Moogle leaving it, then to a smoke-covered castle, apparently with a fight occouring What the hell is this? I mean, what can stop me from getting what I want? The scene starts to change quickly, images seemingly flickering past at random. A demon-like thing, then a apparently young man's face, a strange woman, then a woman sleeping, the images are barely distinguishable but seem to indicate bad mojo And the shard? The image blurs, the visual equvalent of a shrug Oh. Hm. Well, well. |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
((super long nap? Suuuure.))
Riki wakes up and grumpily throws a pillow at Hayate. "Shuddup." |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Hayate is taken by surprise as a pillow smashes through the roof and hits him full in the face. He thumps onto the ground below in a fairly heavy manner and staggers into the cafe a few moments later.
Do you have something against people getting a bit of fresh air? Hmm? ((Now, that's one hell of a thowing arm.)) |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
((*grin* That's what I get for not reading the posts.))
Riki snarls an answer and gets off the couch, going over to the bar for a cup of coffee. She sips it and stares at the bartop, thinking. |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Hm. I guess that vampire visiting darked your mood a little.
Hayate takes a swig from his water bottle and takes up station at the bar |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
What ever gave you that idea? She remarks sarcastically. I could use some advice.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Do I look like a therapist? But I don't have anything better to do. By the looks of things, it seems fairly quiet right now. Shoot
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"The one time that it is quiet here and you complain?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Hayate shrugs and takes another swig
I mean in general. This place being quiet is a blessing. Anyway, you were saying? |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I need...to leave...and find a cure for the curse Gale set upon me. I believe I know where one is...but at the same time, I can't leave Rose in that...Reeve's mind world. I can't leave Katayk to deal with that alone. But if I stay, I may cause more harm."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She would seem to be a strong child. Free of the curse, you could fight better, no? I'm sure things can take care of themselves. If you are worried about.. ah.. Kataik? Take him with you. Or someone who can think straight, at least.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She chews on her lip, obviously torn between staying and leaving. "I couldn't take Katayk with me, but your right. I can deal with Sadik's twisted games better if I'm whole. Thank you Hayate." Rikali grasps his hand and gives it a grateful squeeze. "I am glad to have met you and be honored with your friendship. I have one last favor to ask of you, though."
She grabs a napkin and a pen. Thinking for a second, she quickly scribbles a message on it. "Can you...could you...give this to Katayk next time he comes around? And tell him that my eyes are covered, but I don't know by whose hands." She gives Hayate the napkin. Rikali stands up and walks to the door. Looking over her shoulder, she looks around for a final time. With a sigh, she raises her hood and leaves the cafe. ((Woot. Riki's story time.)) |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Hayate stares at the note in his hands for a moment or two, then at the door. Then to Katayk.
Damnit. Didn't you listen? He sighs and puts the note in Katayk's hands, before heading back to his seat DAMNIT! I'll be damned if I'm going to let one of the only people I know here wander around alone, gods know where. He jumps over his stool and heads straight out the door, hoping to catch up with Rikali ((Damn you. You're making him be heroic and all. ¬_¬)) |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
((o.O That was unexpected. *points you and anyone else interested to Pathways of Tyrina*))
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
*a figure walks on the roof of the Cafe', clearly Sadik. He chuckles to himself as he watches Hayate and Riki going off* Well Rose, looks like it's just you, me, and Reeve. *he puts his arms arouind the two children as they appear out of black portals. Their eyes are wide and their pupils and ring color white without color.* Rose, you worry your mother too much. *the three disappear then re-form inside the cafe'. He dials a number on the phone behind the bar and begins speaking with a man he keeps reffering to as 'O'.* So you know it Ayn then, right? Report your findings to our employer if you haven't already... *he goes on discussing pay and other menial things before hanging up* The Axis are back... *he lays on the bar table and closes his eyes, trying to rest and go into torpor. For vampires don't sleep.*
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Rose stares at Reeve, confused. She had seen him before, in a dreamland. Why was he here, now? Why was she here with Sadik, when she belonged at the castle, helping Gale? "..What's going on?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Sadik opens his eyes and smiles. So you've woken up? I was wondering how long it'd take you to get out of there. He hops from the bar and sits on a stool. "Gale and One kidnapped you and tried to make you believe they were your friends. I helped you escape, don't you remember?" Sadik continmues to tell the child lies, boggling her mind and keeping a careful eye on Reeve, who was wide-eyed in the corner of a room, staring blankley in front of him.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"You...you turned me into..." She shudders and rubs the side of her neck. "And...Gale..he..saved me from you.."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"You've got it all wrong, child. I gave you a gift, and the Abbis wanted to turn you into some form of weapon for him. I've saved you, you should thank me." Sadik stands and walks cautiously closer to her "You also have another gift, but it's not from me. Do you know who he is?" Sadik looks to Reeve in a gesture for her to look closely at him.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Rose shakes her head, unbeliving that being a vampire is a gift. "No. I've never met him. But I've...seen him before. In...dreams."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Sadik frowns after hearing her thoughts play in his head "What has he said to you? Anything?" Sadik's eyes reach Reeve's. Reeve's eye color has come back and his face isn't pale anymore. Reeve cackles suddenly and walks limply and sits beside Rose, ignoring her completley
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She smiles softly, almost wistfully. "No...no words. Just...places. Pictures of peace...warmth...a perfect land I have to myself. Except sometimes he is there."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"So the leader of Axis didn't die in a gutter somewhere." Alinos sips his drink and stretches.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Sadik would be grinning broadly, if he didn't want to reveal himself too much. He begins speaking. "Has anything changed lately? Anything become a bit more dim or dark? Stranger? Sadik carefully stops himself from asking too many questions and tries to ask her one last question before Reeve cuts him off and quietly murmers to himself. "How doth the little crocodile improve his shining tail, and pour the waters of the nile on every golden scale... How cheerfully he seems to grin, how neatly spreads his claws, and welcomes little fishes in with gently gaping jaws..." Sadik looks at Reeve strangley then asks Rose politley, Ever hear that little poem before?Sadik turns to Alinos and smiles sarcastcly I'm immortal, what can I say? Always was interested in angels though, so I guess you and me are on common ground.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Alinos raises an eyebrow. "I know for a fact immortals can die, one died recently I believe.. So I suppose the whole concept of immortality is bull." The population was sure full of maniacs. Decieding that he really couldn't give a rats ass about what happens, Alinos finishes his drink. "Doesn't this place have food or something?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I wouldn't know, I don't eat. How about you try the cubords behind the bar or something, I'm sure you could find something... Or you could eat the alligator." Sadik points to the now alive Mr.Alligator in the pool and grins
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I don't eat reptiles." Alinos rummages through the cubbards, figuring no one would care.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Rose mutters the poem under her breath after Reeve. "The land hasn't changed, except at nighttime, when he's there. Then that poem...it's what the birds sing, what the wind whispers through the trees. It's what the creek burbles and the animals-so friendly at day-growl at night. It's not a very nice place to be at night anymore. I don't get what the poems means though."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Reeve lifts his head and sighs, blowing the hair from his face. He begins to speak hoarsly "I don't understand them either, I just learn them... learn them... like the Mock Turtle. He taught me the song about the Beautiful Soup... The Caterpillar, who made me make one up for him... la la la la laaa la..." Reeve continues going on innocently then freezes and becomes natural again "Have you seen Cheshire yet?" Reeve looked very dreadful "He's not the same anymore, it's so sad. His fur is dimming and becoming dirty and he's lost so much weight."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Still watching those kids? Honestly boss, Sedia and I have been doing all the work these days." The man who was watching Ayn earlier stands in the doorway.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Sadik stands and greets Onaudon with a wide grin, though you could barely see it because of his mouth covering. "I'm doing my part. I got the dragon, her daughter, and Clouds son out of the picture. Spike-head is off looking for his boy in the vast nothingness of the world, and I am reaping the benefits of sitting on my ass. Get your job done?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Hm. Well I found the girl called Ayn. But she wasn't in the database, any idea why that is?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Well it's not as shocking as I would've thought had I not been here. Everyone talking about her causing the apocolypse and such. It seems there's more to her than I thought. Keep your eye on her, but don't interfere with what she does." Sadik goes to the fridge and takes out a beer and tosses it to Onaudon "Drink up, I can't."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Feeling far better than she has in the past couple of weeks, Ayn enters. The potion the moogle had left her helped her heal much faster than expected, so she's free to move about now. Her gaze meets Onaudon, and she sneers. "You..."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Hmph. She was barely alive when I saw here." Onaudon downs the beer and places it on the counter. Alinos raises an eyebrow upon hearing the "barely alive" bit, but says nothing. When he sees Ayn enter he sighs and goes back to his drink. "Like a moth to a flame."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Her eyes fix on Alinos. "I'm sorry, would you like to repeat that a little louder?" Clearly, seeing Onaudon here has put her in a foul mood, but she's not quite angry enough to kill him. She has a seat on a nearby couch and props her legs up on the coffee table.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"You seem to follow potential danger around a lot. I've told you before how unwise that is of you." Alinos finds some chips and frowns. He decieds it's better then hunger and opens them.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I do nothing of the sort. I don't go around looking for danger, it finds me. All I do is go home to rest, and I have this ****ing spy sitting on my roof." Nods curtly at Onaudon.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Onaudon frowns. "Aren't you a vulgar little bitch? Watch your tounge unless you'd like it cut out." ((Heh, one more person who can't talk :P (inside joke) Oh, and you av ROCKS! ^_^))
